Excellatab™ RDT Direct Compression Tableting Base
Excellatab™ RDT is a “Rapidly Dissolving Tablet” Base formulated with our proprietary Bitter-Bloc Technology, specifically to be used as a versatile base for compounding, rapidly dissolving tablets by direct compression. Depending on tablet size and compression force, Excellatab™ RDT quickly dissolves in 20 seconds or less (based on a 0.5g, 10mm diameter placebo tablet trial).
Excellatab™ RDT was formulated to handle both high and low API loads. This formula has excellent flow properties, is highly resistant to sticking to punches and requires relatively low compression forces. Manufacturing tablets at reduced compression forces is both easier on equipment and a reduction on tablet component stress. For use in both human and veterinary tablet applications. Recommended API load ≤25% with maintaining ≥75% excipients total (includes additional powder flavors, sweeteners, colors, etc.)
Excellatab™ RDT is sugar-free, and formulated as an all-in-one rapid dissolve tableting excipient that is press-ready, saving the compounder time, extra steps, and costs.
