PolyBlend Rx™ Suppository Base

PolyBlend Rx™ is an anhydrous, granular form, water soluble/miscible vaginal and rectal suppository base. It is formulated with polyethylene glycols of varying molecular weight, causing it to exhibit excellent stability at room temperature. The melting point of this base is 50-60°C (122-140°F). It also includes emulsifiers designed to improve dispersibility and bioavailability of hydrophobic actives. PolyBlend Rx™ releases APIs by dissolving rather than melting, providing an extended disintegration time. It exhibits excellent mold release characteristics, eliminating the need for mold lubrication. All ingredients meet the requirements of USP-NF.

During summer months, it is recommended to use expedited shipping for suppository bases due to the melting temperature of the product.
